Hello there

I was checking to see what other free software I use that is useful and I thought I would put up my big list. so here it is. I hope you find one or two you can use.

KompoZer - Adobe Dreamweaver Alternative
Synfig Studio - Adobe Flash Professional Alternative
GimpShop - Adobe Photoshop Alternative
Inkscape - Adobe Illustrator & Freehand Alternative
PDF Creator - Adobe Acrobat Professional Alternative
Scribus - Adobe Indesign Alternative
Avidemux - Adobe Premiere Pro Alternative
Jahshaka - Adobe After Effects Alternative
Audacity - Adobe Soundbooth Alternative
DVD Styler - Adobe Encore Alternative
Aptana - Adobe GoLive Alternative
Oxygen Office Suite - Microsoft Office Professional Alternative
Smith 1.0 - Adobe Coldfusion Alternative

Some of the above programs need this to run.
Gtk+ - Multi-platform toolkit
Gtkmm - Official C++ Interface for Gtk+

Yep....Audacity is good sound editing software.

Gimp is ok but I would hardly compare it to Adobe Photoshop or call it a Photoshop alternative. If you are talking about free Office substitutes, why not mention Open Office by Sun which really is comparable or I believe there is a new IBM version of Lotus that is free as well.

Hello there.

Sorry about not putting Open office on the list, I do use it but I personally do not care for it. As for Gimp shop I have used both Photoshop and Gimp shop and find that I can do most of the same work with Gimp shop. I do still use alot of paid programs but itís nice to find some free ones that can do the job of one that cost 700 bucks. I may need that money for gas soon you know. :D

Soon? Wow, your doing better than I am then!:D

BTW, I'm shocked no one included Firefox.
