Missing or corrupt files

Hello again Doctors,
I have an Aspire one, netbook AO751h. This system would boot up! I'm getting error message:
Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt: \WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEM

It's telling me to use the original Setup CD-Rom, than press 'r' at first screen to start repair.

Any advice please,

There are many solutions proposed for this but the first thing I would do is run "chkdsk /r" from Recovery Console by booting to Windows cd or dvd and choosing "r" for Recovery Console, then the number for the drive, "enter" for "admin password" even if nothing and then type in above without the "'s and hit enter. You will then have to put in a "y" for "yes" hit enter and reboot to run.

Any CD that is of the original operating system can work. You can't use an Upgrade or Full version - it has to be OEM (and the service pack level should be sp2 or above).
