I was getting ready to ask you guys at the BBS what the heck is wrong with my stock Dell speaker setup. I have two decent Harman Karden speakers with a nice sub woofer. Lately only the left channel speaker has been working properly and low volume has been coming from the right speaker. I thought this might be a software issue with my Turtle Beach sound card. Then, I just thought the speakers had it and were shot. Then, a miracle happened. I thought of just unplugging the cable from the back of the pc (sound card). I plugged the connection back in and viola! Everything works great. I guess my recent movement of the PC to clean it or whatever jarred the connection.
My point is simple. Sometimes we (especially I) tend to over think and over react. I tend to think of the most complex fix to a problem and don't just check the simple solution. I also think this applies to computing overall. Check the simple stuff first, then get more involved if needed. I'm happy now.
