The computer can accept an Internet connection from ports such as, but not limited to:
Phone Modem
Ethernet
USB
PCMCIA
Express 54

Internet access can be provided by:
Dial-up
ISDN
DSL
FIOS
Cable
Satellite
Air Cards from Verizon or Cingular
Internet capable cell phones
Wireless access points - like Philly going to do

I'm sure I missed a few.
