Windows Media Player Question

I have WMP 10 downloaded & using windows Xp. Whenever i want to listen to something that requires WMP i get a request that a WMP plug-in is needed! What is the problem? Thanks.

Do you have it set to allow it to get plugins and codecs?
Let it go find whatever it's looking for.

Ver 10 always seems to be wanting some king of update...
I like Media Player so much... I have many other trouble free viewers to replace it with.
