Vista File Sharing

I'd like to share my Vista machine on my network so my XP machine and eventually my Mac can see it. I have the same workgroup set in the Vista and XP machines. The XP sees the Vista machine, however, can't get into it.

On the Vista machine, I went to the C drive and selected the Share .... option and nothing happens. I thought that was strange.

For those on Vista, have you been able to share your machine with others? If so, how did you do it?

Go into "Network" and open "Network and Sharing Center" and in "Sharing and Discovery" allow all sharing of files, folders and printers etc...

I haven't been able to share a whole drive like you could in XP. What I've been doing is sharing individual
folders, like users or public for example..On the vista2 machine:

\\vista2\public (file://\\vista2\public)
\\vista2\users (file://\\vista2\users)
