Does anyone by chance recall in Win98se, a message box comes up saying "the last few times your computer went in standby it stopped responding. Do you want to keep your computer from going into standby in the future?" That happened and I clicked Yes by accident and the Standby option was gone from the SHut Down dialogue box. Does anyone know how to get it back; an easy way without reinstalling windows? I can not find the option in Power management now. The Power Management has always been set to Always on, Never, Never and that has not changed. This happened once before long time ago but I have forgotten if or how I got it back, or if it just came back on its own. I seem to remember it dosappearing for awhile and then coming back.
But is there some way to put the Standby option back on the Shut Down dialogue box?
