Vivienne, various suggestions were made (once a month, weekend, topics,
allowing political talk--which we indulged in briefly when there was a gap
in tech topics--etc). But the turnout, camaraderie, and the number and
scope of tech discussions indicate we're doing something right!:)

We briefly discussed if KH should create a section on the forum
restricted to only Wednesday Night Chatroom matters; ie, announcements,
suggestions, comments. That way, we can easily learn if it's open, when the
next session will take place, if one has been canceled, if the time/date will
change for one week or permanently, and post comments, suggestions or
criticism (constructive, I hope).

I think a separate sub-forum for our chatroom may boost attendance by
catching the attention of some visitors to our site as well as members who
haven't been attending.

Perhaps some input/suggestions from members may help the KH staff
determine if they want to do this, and if so, how.

BTW, a brilliant young man who was active in our chatroom a while back
joined us again last night in the chatroom and finally joined our forum .
His handle is wahtisdownyesterday. I'm so glad he came aboard! :D

.....and I survived missing my Spanish soap operas :rolleyes:

I thought we ought to move discussion of Paltalk to a new thread, but let me say we had a peak between 20-24 users at one point and were the # 2 room off and on most of the night in Computer Tech.
We did everything from comment on a prospective board for a user, furthered discussion of the hard drive Regenerator thread from forum, usb headphone use on Paltalk and several other topics from the forum.
In attandance were Rich, Kern, Dan, Lina, Photolady, Nick, John Campi, myharddriveisata, snowgoose, Lawrence, Kelly, Annie, Steveie, Keth Heaton, Al (later) and quite a few others.....
When you have enough people, then you get natural traffic from Paltalk also and the night becomes more enjoyable for everyone.
We talked about polling for subjects before the night, biweekly Chatrooms and even monthly chatrooms. And yes we got a little political at times, but there was no blood and no one left because of it.
Let's hear it from others who were there what they felt!

Sure was GREAT Wednesday nite.

Only had to bounce ONE person the whole 2.5 hours, had over 25 "members" for quite a while, worked with sound, motherboard, mic, hard drive, and some software problems.

Nick joined in (even if in quiet mode for awhile - Nick we don't mind lurkers ;) ) after awhile with some comments.

Watch for a poll in the next few days to generate a topic for attack next week :mad2:
