A Rough Idea Of The Paltalk Session On 2nd of April 2008 Started at 1900 E-UST Finished 6.5 hours later. Gee that is a long time when you count the hours!
Good Evening All, well as usual I arrived a little bit late, one immediate observation was that Rich's sound was actually back to it's original clarity and volume.
Amazing how some things can confound the specialists.
It seems that the best part of Vista System is the packaging the CD comes in, at least it works.
Al was noticeably absent with his beautiful new machine, he did have a sound issue that was possibly fixed with a new amplified set of speakers.
We were expecting a "One small step for Al, and giant leap over a precipice with Vista" kind of speech but it didn't happen, maybe the "Loony Lander Module" was repossessed with the current mortgage crisis.
I counted the amount of people but can't remember the number, it was past two hands and into my feet, I seem to remember it was greater than two hands and one foot!
Snow mentioned something about a heat wave in the area he lives, but I was too busy checking out the chics profiles to remember what it was.
Our Star, Cindy girl had an allergic reaction and a bit of drama, and was sadly not in the best of condition, it is hoped that she recovers quiclky.
She has just received an new machine to play with delivered day by day in "dribs and drabs" but has been limited for playtime due to the illness she has been suffering, It is hoped that her hubby quickly assists her getting back on deck.
She is lucky it wasn't a 52 piece cookset that was being delivered!
She did mention a multiboot laptop machine that was exhibiting an intermittent boot problem but her female expertise in computer things appears to have outstripped the mere mortal males abilities in these high-tech areas to be able to assist with remedial ideas.
The question was suitably answered with the standard high-tech "Duh" reply!
Momma and the rest of the girls were their normal gracious selves, gee they are nice to listen to, I wouldn't mind if CDNgirl would read a small bedtime story to me at night, something short and simple like "War and Peace"!
The Parted Magic program was mentioned as being a decent and easy program to retrieve files off an un-bootable windows system.
Sadly Linux was not mentioned, and the word SAS was not mentioned either.
A most interesting new fellow from India was present in the room and a small elaboration on some Indian technical things were mentioned for a short while, quite an amazing country. In some areas being put behind bars there might not be so bad!
Dan was noticeably silent, goodness knows what he does in that dungeon of his, probably real technical stuff like pulling the blades of cooling fans "one by one" to make them scream, or some other devious similar malpractice.
June was present and asked a technical question about "how email systems work" and was suitably led astray with some classic dis-information.
Now she has a full understanding of how it doesn't work.
She mentioned she would be unavailable for the next week session due to a "dirty weekend" in Florida. It is hoped she enjoys the trip.
CCleaner was mentioned as having a really exciting sound when it was actioned, the "pick the sound" was inconclusive as to what it actually was. Nobody could identify the effect.
It seems that our gorgeous Annie is also going off to Florida!
Must be a pretty hot spot!
The mob from the UK were noticably absent, probably fighting over who was going to turn the lights out over there, they do appear to be technically advanced to the power switch stage but still aren't aware there is such a thing as a microphone.
Possibly because they don't know how to speak English.
The passage of time was interrupted by a pair of clowns entering the room and uttering some remarks using words that I, in my innocence, had no idea what they meant!
They received little red merit awards for their efforts and appeared to be happy and then left.
All in all it was an interesting session, similar as Cleopatra said with her book "Much Ado About Nothing" when she was "having it off" with that "Mark Twain" fellow on her Royal Barge sailing up the Hudson River in 1812.
As a parting question does anyone know what the ball of fluffy wool is called on top of a woolen ski cap. (A clue. It is called a Pom-XXX) See who knows what it really is?
Spelling must be correct. No looking at a dictionary!
Thankyou all for a delightful session on Paltalk.
Cheers, Lawrence.

Well dear man, I checked wikipedia --
This term is often spelled "pom-pon", "pom-pom", or "pompom" (see Variations below).[1]
Pom-Pom/Pompom
The use of the similar-sounding rendition "pom-pom" is very common, especially among popular culture, including films, entertainment sources and general laypeople, but most cheerleaders, coaches, cheer equipment suppliers and manufacturers and others involved in the sport will use the term "pompon". Often, pompons are referred to simply as "poms".
When speaking about clothing or decorative purposes, rather than cheerleading uses, the spelling pom-pom is very common and considered correct in such context. Therein it contains almost the same exclusivity that pom-pon enjoys among cheerleading professionals.
Go figure, lol :)

Good Morning CDN, actually in real dictionaries a POM-POM is actually a type of gun.
The proper term was really POM-PON, but these Americans and their terrible shortcut spelling methods somehow altered and is altering proper English terms all the time.
With some of the US TV shows I have to enable the sub-titles to understand what they are actually saying.
Even watching Judge Judy the other day she had to get some of those American peoples statements translated so that she could understand. I thought that was so funny!
Where will it all end!
Cheers, Lawrence.
