Hi Katt, Scotty is in charge of the Malware Removal area but he has an issue with his ISP. He has been using his mom's machine on dialup which is one of the reasons you didn't have a response yet. The other reason is, (I only took a cursory look at the log file) You only have at first glance, a couple teenie tiny issues. Scotty will go through it thoroughly, so no worries. :D I made three attempts to examine each line but I am in too much pain to absorb everything. :( Sorry, it isn't because I don't want to, it's because I got whacked in the face with a "gone astray" golfball and now have a cracked cheekbone. :frown: :focus: This one....
O23 - Service: Viewpoint Manager Service - Viewpoint Corporation - C:\Program Files\Viewpoint\Common\ViewpointService.exe needs to go away, it isn't very nice! (Polite)
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {7E853D72-626A-48EC-A868-BA8D5E23E045} - (no file) It isn't bad, it just isn't on your machine anymore.
The last one is totally your choice, BUT, a friendly word of caution.... It is a registry cleaner, translation, you don't REALLY WANT it on your machine because it will eventually "hose" your system.
O4 - HKCU\..\RunOnce: [Cleanup!] C:\Program Files\Cleanup!\Cleanup.exe /Windows Restart.
I wish I could be of more help..... Scotty will be here, I'm sure tomorrow and give your log a complete going-over. I just didn't want you to worry about your computer and what it may or may not have on it. :D

GOOD NEWS!!! Scotty told me he will have internet on Friday!! :D:D

Thanks Katt. :D Sorry for the misunderstanding, I wasn't telling you to remove CleanUp I was just warning you of it's possible dangers because it is a registry cleaner. It is totally users choice. This is one way to get rid of Viewpoint completely. If you use AOL it may disable certain things.

Viewpoint Killer (http://bellsouthpwp.net/p/r/prprogramsstudios/viewpointkiller.zip)

Save it to your Desktop
Create a new folder in your desktop by right clicking on the background > New > Folder > name the folder Viewpoint Killer
Unzip the contents of the zip file to the newly created folder.
Open the Viewpoint Killer folder then run ViewpointKiller, and select File > Do All Killings.
Follow the prompts, selecting Yes or No, depending on which selection you are most comfortable with.

Katt, Are you getting a phishing filter warning for KH? MCQ's post suggests it and I just got it as well. This has happened a few times in the past with a HJT log. I'll report it for you. I think Rob edited the url's in the HJT logs to prevent the phishing filter alert from occuring.

Hi Katt, It looks okay to me except for you will want to delete this...(C:\Users\KathyLea\Desktop\viewpoint\Viewpo intKille r.exe) from your desktop and then empty your recycle bin. I would still have Scotty take a last look at it, just to be sure. :D

Hello

Im back on broadband and ready to roll.

No problems here. Just one more thing to clear up.

Delete the older versions of Java and download the newest.
Please follow these steps to remove older version Java components.

Close any programmes you may have running, ESPECIALLY your web browser
Click Start > Control Panel.
Click Add/Remove Programs.
Check any item with Java Runtime Environment (JRE or J2SE) in the name.
Click the Remove or Change/Remove button.
Repeat as many times as necessary to remove all versions of Java.
Reboot your computer once all Java components are removed.

Then download the latest version of Java Runtime Environment (JRE) (http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp) (5th one down the list), which is JRE6u6, and click Yes at the page warning. Under "Platform" select Windows, then check the box to accept the Licence Agreement. Click Yes at the second page warning before downloading the Offline file.
There is no need to download the Sun Download manager but it is optional.

Let me know you have read this and Ill close up the thread, if I have that power.:D
