Found New Hardware "BT Port" appeared after installing Sony Ericsson Mobile Suite

When i install Sony Mobile Suite and the problem was appear everytime and i try to search for drivers for BT Port and found a driver but not designed for microsoft. And i click Continue Anyway and complete installing but the problem appear same every start-up and this is really annoying...

Also i think some of you guys know the problem about Control Panel when i was trying to access it for uninstalling System Mechanic Professional and Control Panel freezes....

Re: the BT Port (relates to Bluetooth, I presume) someone with networking knowledge would be better to answer that.

Re: Control Panel. Does the whole system lock up requiring a reboot?

Yeah.. The bluetooth issue... Forgotten to mention that, I've checked the Device manager and there are around 3 yellow question mark (i think) list of Toshiba bluetooth but i have Asus A7J so why Toshiba drivers.

FYI, Bluetooth has built in the laptop so i wasnt using the USB :).

The Control Panel was working okay now :)

I think you downloaded the wrong drivers then. Werent they included with the Sony package. I dont use Bluetooth so not sure what drivers exactly you are looking for, especially as you already have it built in.
I would remove the Toshiba ones, they are probably useless. But there are a couple of things we should clear up here first.

Disable Teatimer
First:

Right click Spybot in the System Tray (looks like a calendar with a padlock symbol)
Choose Exit Spybot S&D Resident

Second:

Open Spybot S&D
Click Mode, check Advanced Mode
Go To Left Panel, Click Tools, then also in left panel, click Resident
If your firewall raises a question, say OK
Uncheck the box labeled Resident Tea-Timer and OK any prompts.
Use File, Exit to terminate Spybot
Reboot your machine for the changes to take effect.



Run HijackThis, select Do a system scan only and place checks against the following entries (if they are still present):

You can restart TeaTimer now


Delete the older versions of Java and download the newest.
Please follow these steps to remove older version Java components.

Close any programmes you may have running, ESPECIALLY your web browser
Click Start > Control Panel.
Click Add/Remove Programs.
Check any item with Java Runtime Environment (JRE or J2SE) in the name.
Click the Remove or Change/Remove button.
Repeat as many times as necessary to remove all versions of Java.
Reboot your computer once all Java components are removed.

Then download the latest version of Java Runtime Environment (JRE) (http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp) (5th one down the list), which is JRE6u6, and click Yes at the page warning. Under "Platform" select Windows, then check the box to accept the Licence Agreement. Click Yes at the second page warning before downloading the Offline file.
There is no need to download the Sun Download manager but it is optional.


When you have done the above, I would return to to the software/hardware/networking/whatever forum, and get a techie to assist on the driver issue.

Check any item with Java Runtime Environment (JRE or J2SE) in the name.
Click the Remove or Change/Remove button.
Repeat as many times as necessary to remove all versions of Java.
Reboot your computer once all Java components are removed.

Then download the latest version of Java Runtime Environment (JRE) (http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp) (5th one down the list), which is JRE6u6, and click Yes at the page warning. Under "Platform" select Windows, then check the box to accept the Licence Agreement. Click Yes at the second page warning before downloading the Offline file.
There is no need to download the Sun Download manager but it is optional.


When you have done the above, I would return to to the software/hardware/networking/whatever forum, and get a techie to assist on the driver issue.

I will try to uninstall Sony Ericsson package and see what happens. My mobile automatically connect to my PC when my PC start and i wasnt happy with that.

Right i have disabled the Toshiba Bluetooth in Device Manager and there are no pop up of BT port and bluetooth was working okay. So the BT port was solved now.

This doesnt appear to be a malware issue.
Re: the BT Port (relates to Bluetooth, I presume) someone with networking knowledge would be better to answer that.

Re: Control Panel. Does the whole system lock up requiring a reboot?

Wow! Revo Uninstaller does the great job, uninstaller are failed but they also remove files and registry after it! I found a hidden Ask Bar as i accidently installed it and uninstalled it.

Will keep that Revo software... Come in handy for me. Also for my customers :):D
