It's not to read maps or find directions Joe, it has to do with finding pictures by assigning tags as you take them so you can find them years later, you know the thing we all forget to do is rename them.

Rich, I thought of this application of GPS in a camera but, unless it's once in a lifetime trip, just knowing the location would seem of little value. Knowing the purpose of the occasion and date would still be needed. Perhaps, the GPS information is automatically added to the picture tag that you create manually.
