How to restore the system/boot drive letter in Windows
Ever have the problem when shuffling HD around where Windows naming conventions prevent you from changing the system drive letter? You want to swap C: with another drive and then change the letter and make the new drive C:?
Well.. it can be done, in the registry.
This KB article tells you how.
I just did it and it works fine.
Remember to COPY the boot files you find on the root of your system drive before changing the drive letters.
