Wow,
As some of you know I had had it with my Asus A8V mobo and it's Via chipset on my main rig 4200 dual core Athlon...I was experiencing minor freezes, and then suddenly one day nothing at all. Changed out ram, psu and nothing only Asus logo...took unit 1 off line and sat if all day then plugged back into secondary location at night and it ran fine, but seemed slower, and with minor freezes.
I decided to bite the bullet and up to A8N-SLI and buy my first Pci-xpress video card as well.
Wow up in a breeze, no hastle with sata driver as NForce4 has it built in (as Adam had told me)...and I did a Nvidia EN 6600 256 meg Pci Express (Asus what else for me)...in like a snap.
Not only does the system run great, but the video is so much sharper...and I noticed it right away. I am not sure if it's the return Nvidia card or the Pci_Express architecture of both, but there is a marked difference in color clarity and overall performance that rather took me by surprise.
