Actually vBulletin works the same way that phpBB did - place the cursor where you want the icon (smiley) and double click on the desired smiley. :cool:

They seem to work great but I was spoiled by the extensive library on the old board.:frown:

where are you double clicking? ? ? I placed the cursor at the end of that line and went down to the Post Icons and when I double clicked it just added the icon to the posting title hmmmmm :D

I am double clicking on the similies in the box to the right of the message entry window. This will place the smiley / icon in the body of the message text. As you have observed, the Post Icons below the message entry window allow you to select an icon to appear with the title of the message. It is a bit confusing because many of the symbols appear in both places.

OK it must be something in my profile that is not setup because there are no "smileys" on the right. I only have the post icons at the bottom. Hmmmm :(

Right, go to User CP -> Edit Options
Last option at bottom of page. set to: Standard... or Enhanced...

Then you get some Smilies but only about 9 to choose from.
Seems like we need more.:)

PS: I think we need to pay attention to the best UserCP settings
that most of us are preferring and either write a FAQ on how to
set them or see if they can be set by default.

Adam, I think I finally figured out how to use the icons which are directly below the Reply Box.

Perhaps it would be helpful if the instructions there read, "You may choose an icon for the title of your post from the following list"?......or am I way out in left field? Next to my title is the only place I seem to be able to put one of those icons.
