I found a freeware site called "mru blaster". It stated i have 100 "mru's" & suggested that i delete them. Does the above application have any practical merit for the health of my computer?

Some spyware programs (like AdAware) identify MRUs (Most Recently Used list) as problems and allow / suggest that they be deleted. These are the lists which application programs like Word use to access the last n files that you edited. MRUs are harmless and I never deleted them.

If finding / deleting MRUs is the only function of MRU Blaster, I would pass on it.

I personally do not view MRU's as spyware and find that they can be very helpful and a convenience. For example, in apps like MS Word, MRU's are useful opening the most recent document instead of having to browse through folders to get the document. Also, when I have deleted MRU's, most of them are automatically re-created by the app.
