After i noticed my games folder was missing i did a "Windows Restore" & that didn't work. I went to "Add/Remove Windows Components" & tried restoring the games. In the process of restoration a message poped up as follows "Freecell.exe on xp cd rom. Type the path where the file is located and then click ok" Is the above cd rom required to restore my games folder? Is there an alternative? By the way i am only interested in "internet checkers" & "solitaire". Any assistance would be appreciated. Thank you.

You have to point the install component to the i386 directory. I have found that XP does not always place that directory on the hard drive like Windows 2000 Pro did.

If you copy the i386 you can edit the registry for the sourcepath - and redirect it there from the D:\ (or whatever your cd drive is assigned) to C:\i386.
