I don't know if the board format is different or if it's just me, but I find the board much better now. I use the New Posts feature and Quick Links often to mark topics read and locate new posts. Is there any way I can automatically view new posts when I visit the site? This would be great. Forgive me, but I do this at the RBL site. When I log off the RBL BBS I believe the site marks all posts as read. Then, when I log back onto the site I just click new posts. You guys are doing a great job.

Just before you leave the site, use..
QuickLinks -> Mark Forums Read
Then on your next visit use.. New Posts
I was thinking that.. Mark Forums Read
could be better utilized if it was on the main menu.
They could get rid of less important options like Calendar
or Members List to make room for Mark Forums Read .

I do as you say when visiting the site. It would be nice if this was automated somehow.

If you close Firefox and come back to KH, hit NEW POSTS, you only get the ones that are new AFTER you exited.
I believe this is related to the per-session cookie which does not change until you exit the browser.

Seems to me (I haven't tested it) but if you click Mark Forums Read, then return later after someone has added to a thread, you have to go thru the entire thread again. Is this true?
I've been out of touch for almost a week. Now that I'm browsing thru again, I click on New Posts and I'm reading theads from the very beginning again. I'd rather just read the posts that have been added to the thread since I was here last.

Poking around a bit I found the Hybrid Display Mode and I also noticed a button at the top of a thread that takes you to the first unread. Good - this is pretty close to what I was looking for.
- thanks

There are actually a couple of ways to get to the First New Post. When you pull down the list of topics under New Posts, there is a small 'V' or check icon to the left of each topic; clicking on it will take you to the first new post without first opening the topic. If you open a topic, there is the same icon at the top of the thread to take you to the first new post.:cool:
The more that I use the vBulletin software the more I see its flexibility.
