downloads (utilities like diskeeper lite), but beware of all the junkware and nonsense. Only download apps/utilities that you know have merit and will not foul up your system.

A good place for current events and commentary; and unlike Drudge, I don't need an antiseptic wipe for my hands when I leave.
As for computer-related info, I usually start right here at KH.:hail:

Hardware or Software Problems?
Try Googling the Usenet Newsgroups using a few keywords related to your
problem. Often, you will find other people who had the same exact problem
as you, and the solution is already there for your taking. Or.. The info you
find in the Newsgroups will lead you to the Microsoft Knowlegebase article
that solves your problem. I have found this technique to work better than
the search at the Microsoft website.

I am copy/paste these into a Word doc file.
Please format your links as
Category: ie: Hardware
Link
Description: 1-2 line
That will make it a little easier to organize.
Thanks

Seriously, it's difficult enough to get people to contribute things of
any kind. Asking them to categorize and limit descriptions to 2 lines
is going to be tough. You have to have a real command on the english
language to be able to sum it up in two lines and still get the point
across. I'd be happy to see a description and the link with no
other contraints. More people are likely to respond to that.
Good luck. :)

The LINKS page is for two purposes:
1. A handy reference for us where most of us find our information.
Category: Hardware
Link: motherboards.org
Description: mobo information
2. Search engine crawlers that rank your site by the number of links it contains to other sites.
If you have a really good site where you routinely go to look for something, share it!
Don't include things that are likely to vanish or expire.
This is more a reference guide to places to find things on a permenant page that will not update often and primarily a search engine tool.
