Windows XP Pro

I use Incredimail as my email client. Many jokes I receive contain a ".wmv" file. In the body of the email, it will have the words "Attachments Preview" and a player panel whereby all I need to do is press the "play" button.

I try to "Copy and Paste" the player panel to a new email (emails that I am going to send out). I seem to be able to "copy". The contents become highlighted but when I "paste", the player in my new email does not show. I do get the words "Attachments Preview" and the curson does move down a couple of lines.

I don't know if this is a Windows or an Incredimail problem. Does anyone have an idea?

Thanks,
Sam

Sam,

You would have to do a Save As function to attach the wmv file to a new mail.

What I usually do is do a Forward and edit out all the header info that I don't want to send to the new receipent. That way any attachments USUALLY are included in the forwarded email.

Dan:

It's not the wmv file that I am having a problem with, it's the player(with the play button) that I can't get into the new email.

I have tried to use forward and the "player" does not show.

Sam,

wmv - is the Windows Media Player on your machine - through file association list.

You shouldn't have to attach the player on the wmv file and IF the receipent has WMP on their machine and associated file type, they will get the player designation and the file should play.

Dan:

I sent an attached wmv file to myself. I did not get the player displayed on my "received" email. When I double-clicked on the wmv file it didn't play.

All other sound on my PC seems to be fine.
