If anyone here can help in explaining a specific piece of info concerning Binary and Decimal please inform me here, I did not post the exact details here because it will take some effort for me to type all of that stuff here so I am wanting to see first if anyone is willing to tackle this?

Binary isn't that hard - you just have to have a LARGE piece of paper to write out the equivalent of a decimal number :D :D :bowl:

Dan, this Michael Meyers guy is really a master in the way that he explains things, I just think that he should keep certain things together and not spread them out or start a topic now and continue it later on and I have seen that he is picking up on this as in the 4th Edition, he started out with introducing the inside of the pc and then later on got into Static, that's like placing the cart before the horse, now in edition 5, the very first thing he teaches is Static, I think edition 6 will be his best book!:D
I have to say this though, even though I had to re-read the Binary stuff a few times I got it now!!

Seriously, Mike, I agree with your thoughts on Mike Meyers' books being a worthwhile read.

Well, it is a known situation with ALL the tech authors. Seems none of them can complete a thought without telling you that they will cover THAT subject in a later chapter more thoroughly.
The ONLY book I ever had that was really straight forward was an IBM Basic programming book in 1984. It started you off with a program, completed the code, and moved on to the next level. Now things were introduced but the author said to just add the code - no explanation or reference to future covering, but when you entered the code again he would reference it in the earlier coding and NOW explain how it was needed to interface with the current module and then you could relate to the need, the purpose, and the outcome.
And there have been many books since then.
One of these days I will write a book just the way that author did (yep got that on my plate  )
