I seriously doubt that Hillary's impassioned speeches dealing with nothing of any importance, qualify her as a candidate. And Joh McCain ass kissing the president and Jerry Falwell will get him no swing votes I know of, but here is where this candidate needed to be last time, but at least where he is the only one now!

Rich, I've watched John Kerry on C-Span a few times recently. He seems so different from the John Kerry on the campaign trail and during the debates. I like this statement he made: When we protested the war in Vietnam some would weigh in against us saying: "My country right or wrong." Our response was simple: "Yes, my country right or wrong. When right, keep it right and when wrong, make it right." And that's what we must do again today.

I think it was during C-Span's Book Notes that an author lamented that during the campaign John Kerry did not listen to his heart and his soul .... he listened to his handlers!

In 2003, there were accounts of torture at Abu Ghraib. The author I mentioned said Kerry's handlers directed that he not make any comment, because it would remind voters of the Vietnam atrocities admitted by some of Kerry's supporters.

I think I liked Teresa Heinz Kerry more than her husband. She laid it on the line, no holds barred. But they eventually shut her up too. What a shame!
Imagine having a First Lady fluent in English, Spanish, French, Portuguese, and Italian. Imagine the good will she could have created for us in Central and South America, her native Africa, and perhaps even among some French-speaking nations.

John McCain is supposed to be an independent maverick. He must want the presidency so bad that he's willing to sell his soul and/or also listen to his stupid handlers.

As for Hillary Clinton, I think too many voters would not forgive the blow-job her husband received from a consenting heterosexual adult. They would be more inclined to forgive Rudy Giuliani's three divorces, pre-divorce and pre-marital relationships, and his former partnership with disgraced Bernard Kerik (he had to withdraw consideration of his nomination for Secretary of Homeland Security).

I think you are right Lina, something happened to john Kerry in that campaign...he veered off ito directions that are not him and he really had very poor management.
