To minimize the need to use the mouse wheel scroll or Ctr +/ -, is there a way to increase the font size in Firefox the way you can in IE (View)?

Holding down the control key and spinning the wheel int he mouse will enlarge and reduce the fonts in Firefox. Funny seems to have no effect in Sea Monkey though.

Last night before going to bed I read Lina's message and opened Firefox to see where the Font size adjustments were. They were easily found and I produced a message to Lina explaining where they were. I then thought I would see just how much of a difference was made by changing the Font size. After increasing the size I found I could not open Firefox again. This panicked me as I thought Lina would follow the directions and cause her to have problems with her computer. That's when I changed the message. I found that by re-booting the computer Firefox worked and it wanted to download an update. My thinking is the update download is what made me unable to open Firefox. After the update everything seemed to work as normal...

Larry, I found your unedited message in my email box (automatic notification of posts to topics to which I have posted) before I saw the one above.
I did follow your original directions. (FF, Tools, Options, Content). I changed the font size, and it did not take. Then--I'm getting smarter every day--I decided to reboot. Worked fine, but I had made the font size too large (from 16 to 40) ........ So I redid it from 40 to 32, rebooted, and it's great! Thanks! .... .... It will be a lot less stress on my hand and arm not having to use Firefox Ctrl +/= or the mouse scroll wheel so often.
I noticed Firefox, Tools, Options, Content, Settings, Default Font, Advanced, has default setting of 96 DPI, default minimum font size 14, which can be increased. I was tempted to mess with these default settings, but I'm chicken. The changes I have already made seem to work for me.
I made notes of what I did change in case I run into problems again trying to find download/install buttons that are off the page. But I suspect that's only affected by my desktop DPI settings of 120.
Thanks again, Larry.
