Ok Larry, you always "smoke" me so go beat this thing I just had to buy that I have no use for, on eBay. All new, and the cpu alone is $630 at Pricewatch.
I could not find anything wrong with it. Guy has 100% feedback, sold another one like this a while ago...I tried as hard as I could to walk away but this is the best deal I have ever gotten!@!!

Guess I'll be building again...I just could not believe my eyes when I saw this. I even called my wife in to read it to make sure I wasn't in Twilight Zone!

I just checked his feedback and he sold almost the same thing to someone else on the 29th who has since posted positive feedback for "fast shipping, great product"...I am still unsure and sent guy an email to double check he really got it. Seems to good to be true. I have never gotten anything this good on eBay and am still in shock!

You just have to be right, but even off the back of a truck should be higher than this price...think of the risks! With my luck this guy gets bagged at the Post office mailing mine. Of course I used Paypal Buyer Credit so I'll never pay for it if that happens.

Switch CPUs (maybe video card too) with the PC listed in your profile and you have a pretty nice computer! You should benchmark it.

Not a big difference in mobo but 6600 card will come over to new unit and I also will switch the ram as I have Corsair XMS 2 gig in unit 1 to move over and I have another Raptor 10,000 rpm WD drive for this one as well.

Well as a final wrap, I received the box on Wednesday and everything was in it. I was a little concerned with "new" as nothing was sealed and the only thing in a box was the motherboard. It wasn't the best packing I have ever seen either, especially to withstand the "brutality" of UPS but fortunately it came from New Jersey so they didn't have a great deal of time to "beat up" on it either.
Initial setup was troubled as I never realized that the Enermax case I was putting this in that came with a 400 watt psu (I know I always advise never use these but from Antec or Enermax I do) was not an Enermax and it blew out. The only other psu's I had laying around were 350 watt but at least they are good ones. Everything went up easily and this was intended to be Windows 2000 replacement. As I got completely done in record time, I began to notice freezes usually on the internet. I also noted 1394 drives seemed to be recognized twice with one as a Yellow Question Mark even though it worked fine and I could access it. Reboot was trouble again with 1394 devices so I changed to an Adaptec card which did not solve it. As the internet freezes were coming on more and more, requiring throwing the power switch I determined to switch out every piece of hardware including hard drives. I changed cables, moved mouse and keyboard to Ps2 ports, put in a different pci express video card, and even unistalled Nforce 4 driver and when nothing seemed to solve it I decided to reformat and use XP this time.
XP went better with no real freezes except for a few near the end of "polishing touches". One or two I could live with.
Then the next day I discovered the real problem. The next day everything ran fine and I added a few programs I had forgotten. On a forum the question came up of using 20 pin psu in a motherboard with 24 pin plug.
It has always been accpted advice that a 20 pin plug can be used in a 24 pin plug but a few users disagreed with me. Going to DFi site, they pointed me to a warning that while the 20 pin plug will work and boot etc, over sustained long use, there could be intense instability. And guess what? Next day I put back the drive with 2000 and it ran fine. That instabilty through sustained use is exactly what I did by running long involved install including tweaks in 1 day non stop and then reformatting and starting all over again. Of course the 500 watt psu I ordered from Zip Zoom will solve this. I assumed some of the freezes were caused by low wattage of 350 in use, but also now realize the Thermaltake coming is also a 24 pin and that will fix the whole thing for reasons I never dreamed of.
