I listened this morning to some of the Hayden confirmation hearings and at times wanted to throw up.
I had to go out and when I came back I turned it on again hoping someone would ask a real question. Why bother even putting on this show if they aren't going to ask meaningful questions. I'm so sick of this ****.
This what Bob Kinkaid(http://www.headonradionetwork.com/) calls "Rasslin". They put on a show for the cameras when in the end you know exactly what's gonna happen. What's even more obsene is Arlen Spector letting a proposed Constitutional Amendment banning Gay Marraige( or, Defense of Marraige, in Orwellian terms) to leave subcommitee and go to the Senate floor for a vote!. Even though he doesn't support it! And his little theater show with Russ Feingold; Now THAT'S RASSLIN'!

You're right Larry; After all the huffin' and puffin', snortin' and posin', this little weasel will sail through.

I think for a change everyone else is with you...why so many incumbants lost on both sides...I'm ready for clean sweep!
Good idea, Rich. Even the WWE changes the lineup now and then.

WWE = World Wrestling Entertainment. Perhaps you know it under its original name - WWF - World Wrestling Federation. Remember Ron's 'Rasslin' analogy.

Maybe not, Lina, but they do put on a more convincing show. That's why Jesse the Body Ventura made such a smooth transition to politics.:argue: :)

I liked Jesse Ventura. Much more open and honest than the slime we have in politics today. It's a shame he left the political scene. God help us, compared to the clown in the White House now, Jesse would have been a better choice for President! I think even Ross Perot would shine in comparison.
Arnold Schwarzenegger can flex his muscles all he wants; he doesn't impress me. Even Austria disowned him!
