Last night's chat in KH Computer Help Desk Paltalk Chatroom delivered:

1. a new member for this forum, qatrice. :welcome:
2. an introduction to some of us to another free .... :clap2: .... AV, Bit Defender. See Mylanta's comments about it here: http://www.kickenhardware.net/forum/showthread.php?t=2476

3. a plea for computer help from someone who spoke Arabic. Grand efforts to help her proved futile because of audio transmission problems on her end even though her English seemed perfect. We tried, but we probably only succeeded in getting ourselves added to a terrorist-watch list. .... :behindsofa:

4. a new tip for me to finally get PalTalk out of Startup (the usual Start > Run > Msconfig > System Configuration Utility > Startup wouldn't do it). Rbob (Kern) introduced me to Start > Programs > Startup.

5. a lot of laughs. And, of course, in-depth technical discussion and help for some new visitors.

Here's hoping you'll join us next week!

I feel that since Lina is now our secretary, all "Super Moderators" should pay her a monthly allowance.

Seriously, if I'm being helpful, it's my pleasure and perhaps one way I can thank this board :hail: for answering my dumb questions and allowing me to protect and enjoy my computer.
