This should be an easy one for you guys. I'm using a very simple database in Access, only using three fields.
For some reason after inserting about 50 entries and closing and opening the first entry movrd down about a dozen rows. I'm sure there is a simple way of getting this back to the first row without having to do the whole thing over again. As you can tell I know very little about aAccess..

Is it doing some kind of sort when it opens or closes that would move the entry?

No It is really just a data base with a name and a number associated..

Casey,
When you set up Access, it asks if you want to assign a primary key. If you say yes, then by default it will sort by this key. If you wish to maintain the original order, create your own key field or index (w/o duplicates) and use an autonumber as its basis. Then if your data ever gets out of order, you can resort it on your key field.
