I guess I should have mentioned that it was kind of gruesome...but a really cool trick nonetheless.

So how did he do it?

Well the first volunteer was just a distraction. Her height has nothing to do with the trick.

There is an alternate explanation, but the most likely is that everyone there was involved in the trick. The trick would only seem amazing to someone who watched the video at a later time. The girl who seems to have been torn apart, really does have no legs. The skirt used would have been perfect to hide the fake blood at the waist line. The fake blood was likely released when the "magician" tapped on her stomach. Note the odd "wood" like sound when he tapped her stomach.
