I have a P4HT 3.0, 915 motherboard 512MB, 120GB, FM7130 TV tuner card.

The problem is when i select record in the tv tuner application it says "CANNOT RENDER AUDIO CAPTURE STREAM" . The video is recorded without audio.

Kindly advice

I had a similar problem with my card for a while. In my case, the software would default to Mic. as the audio source instead of Line In. I had to manually change it in Setup/Capture everytime I recorded something. Updating the software seemed to fix to problem.

* you need to download Paltalk messenger 8.3 software first if you don't already have Paltalk on your system.

In the chatroom you can receive or give one-on-one, hands-on help for computer problems, alert us or learn about new developments in computers and software. Computer subjects get first priority. If there is a lull, then humor, finance, and whatever can be discussed intermittently. We try not to talk about politics or religion .... there's enough disagreement about antivirus scanners. :)

A lot of this software is funky.... as RAK said, it often changes the default sound settings on entry or exit.
Check Start\Settings\Control Panel\Sounds\Audio tab\Sound Recording\Volume tab to bring up the Recording Control window
Select Line In

If the TV software does not change this to Line In by default, you won't get an audio stream particularly if you use your mic as default.
Then when you go to use your mic, you have to change it back as the software does not do so on exit.

It can also be a codec problem with the software. Check for updates to the latest version.
They all seem to be quirky and come from the same source.
I have changed the software for my MSI card several times and each version has its own functions that never worked right.

There are several softwares out there for TV tuner cards that will work with most of them, as they are all about the same.
Look up FLYTV
There is even a Winamp plugin to use Winamp to view TV using the card.

If it is a codec problem, you may need to add one of the Codec packs that contain most of the common ones.
The Codecs are added to Windows system and called by many sound\recording\playback functions including Media Player, but not actually part of the program. The program simply calls the codec to be used. If not present, no work!

Welcome to KH Arianguy:)

Most of these capture cards have a cable running from the audio out on the card, which goes to the audio in on your sound card...is that connected? Also, as suggested, the line in will have to be selected in your "record device" audio properties. Check the drop down list for the record device, as it may show your capture card.

And... if memory serves me correctly...
Somewhere in the setup of your tuner software, there is a sound output device setting that has to be selected for the correct input to your sound card.
