I am certified in VB 6. I also do a lot of HTML and XHTML. If anyone needs help, please let me know. I will do my best.

Sam,

Is there a way of reverse engineering (or decompiling) a VB program to get to the original source code?

I have a client that is using a VB program that was written 6 years ago and the programmer has lost the original code (actually he has had multiple computer crashes - he tends to do a LOT of testing of beta stuff) and I had a request from the client a few months ago about some changes they would like to the original BUT want to keep the original touchy - feelly.

I know in the ole Clipper days you could do decompiling of the exe file if you needed to.

Dan: There were several attempts to do this specifically in the early VB days. If I recall, that was in the VB3 & 4 days. Since then, I had heard of or no of anything that works. You may want to give VBXtras a shot. I have a catalog from them that is about 2 years old. There phone number is: 1-800-987-8695; URL www.vbxtras.com or www.xtras.net

Yeah, I rememebr Clipper made an attempt to do it.

Dan:

I found this but it's for the net environment and is expensive. Maybe they have an earlier version.
