Have you tried? I saw a mention of that recently and changed my avatar as a test (see above).

Our old phpBB board had a limit of 100x100 pixels but I am not sure about the vBulletin version.

BTW I have noted that there is a limitation of four animated smilies in a post (which I assume is a vBulletin limitation).

I'm sure if I have misspoken, Adam will jump in.

I'll try to check out the avatar limitations. :phone: I didn't think there was a problem when I loaded my dancing Hobbes. :ohwell:

When I checked the avatar section of the User CP I noticed that avatars cannot be larger than 100x100 pixels or 64K bytes. Nothing about animation.

BlackMirror, please email me the avatar you are trying to upload. There shouldn't be a reason its blocking it unless the image it physically too large, pixel or file size. I can take a look at it and make an adjustment to our system as needed.

i think it was because it is too big.. i will resize it and try again first.. it was 150.. not 100

I tried up upload the same avator that I use on *** and I got the same message BM is getting.

What size is your avatar? Our limits imposed by vBulletin is currently 100x100 pixels and 64K bytes.

You guys should be all set. There was a new setting made available in the last update on vBulletin which enabled control of animated avatars seperately from nonanimated. Everything is enabled again and all set! The limits are still set at 100x100 and 64k though. If we need to change that later we can, but we seem to be ok for now.

Personly I think 100x100 is a bit big for an avator.
But it works so leave it:)
