Does it show up at all? I think it doesn't show up because it knows that you posted it and assumes you really don't want it cluttering the "New Post" list until someone replies.

I think there's a problem with the "New Posts" as a whole. For example, I log in and check new posts, and it will show none. But if I click on forums, there are numerous new posts.

Interesting. Here's my usual routine:
Log in with UserID/pwd and click remember me
Click New Posts
- it works

I have noticed that and feel that it is normal. When you submit a new post (to one of your own posts or someone else's), vBulletin returns you to the new message. In effect, you have read it and it is no longer new to you.

I have occassionally noticed a similar result. It has not happened often enough for me to be able to completely document its its characteristics. I have noted that clicking on Forums makes the problem go away..

I made an error. It wasn't "New Posts" that I was referring to. It was "Latest Forum Topics" on the main page. That section will often show no new posts since I last logged on, but then I click on "Forums" and manually scan through the list only to find that there were many new posts.

I have had similar observations - when I briefly leave KH and return to the Forums page, the forum New Post indicators are the same as my last visit. If I click on the browser Refresh, I get an updated (and correct) set of New Post indicators. I suspect that this is a browser caching issue and not a vBulletin problem. So far I have not tried to research or rectify this situation.
If this is the same problem, you should be able to click Refresh to correct the New Post indicators.

K, I'll try that Terry and let you know.
