Acronis Disk Director problems

I recently had some trouble installing Office updates, although I was able to resolve that...look here: http://www.kickenhardware.net/forum/showthread.php?t=2988

From trying to fix that problem, I found there were some issues with Acronis DD. For those who use Disk Director, have you ever encountered anything like this before? Thought I'd move over to this section. Any suggestions?

Never had a problem with Disk Director. I've been able to add a partition to an existing hard drive. It would ask where you want to get the disk space from and you can select unused space in one of the existing partitions. (That's my recollection, it's been a while).

Yes, that is how it works ;) However, although I have plenty of free space on my existing partitions, DD is telling me I don't have any space left on them.

EDIT: Had to remove one of my partitions to create the new one; everything's working normally now.
