Simple question, when I click on a drawing object, such as a line, a text spersific toolbar vanishes and a darwing one appears. This repositions the entire page and is horribly annoying. How can I lock the tool bars so clicking on or off a drawing object dosn't change anything?

There is a "Lock Toolbar Position" option when you click the triangle on the right side of the toolbar, but I believe it must be docked in order to be locked. I'm not sure if this is what you were looking for, but you could go to View | Toolbars and choose the toolbar you would like, make sure it is docked (drag it over or click the triangle | Dock Toolbar) and lock it. When you select a drawing or object, I do not think that locking the toolbar will have an effect, but if you choose it from the view menu, I believe it will stay.
Sorry if that isn't what you were looking for.

Nope, it still changes toolbars when they are locked, back to the drawing board.
