View Full Version : Is the web falling apart this week?

Talk about connectivity issues!
Things have been super laggy to the point of failed connections last few days.

Online gaming became impossible tonight.
Study with ping plotter has been showing major disruptions in the backbone hops above Comcast. In some cases, the ping goes dead way up the tree in the ATT hops.

For a while tonight, Comcast Turnersville gateway wasn't connecting to the ATT hop above it.

Checking DSLreports Comcast forum, this appears to be a universal problem all over the place.
Seems the whole web is sputtering along like an engine in dire need of a tune-up!

Something major going on no one is telling us about?

Not a DNS server issue as Verizon DNS servers are no faster.

Doug,

I am not experiencing the same pit fall BUT I did get a call from a client that NEEDS the internet to be at it's fastest and they are complaining about a real slow lag time.

In fact, one of the vpn's won't attach at all because of the long delay for the authentication. Looks like it is going to be a "wonderful" week ahead if this keeps up.

I guess I should rephrase the paragraph above - I just noticed my email is taking F O R E V E R to come down! ! !

This is hard to figure as it isn't the same hops all the time.
Ping runs fine up through comcast and then one of the 12.xxx
ATT hops, mostly the NY section, just spikes way off.
Next run it will be a different one but each time, one of the major hubs just hits the wall and everything past that is way off on the right side of the scale. Laggy but not in the red.
