I have been using the Logitech DUO MX700 wireless keyboard and mouse for 8 months. The mouse is great but I am finding I am having problems with the keyboard. Periodically it will skip letters. So it's time to go back and get a good keyboard -- non wireless.
This keyboard has some nice keys I use all the time: "Shopping" --I set it up and it takes me to eBay; Search - that has been set up to take me to Google. I would like to maintain these features if possible.
Can anyone recommend a nice keyboard? I don't want a "Split" one. It could be PS/2 or USB.
Thanks,
Sam

Sam, I have 3 of these and never had a problem with them.
Have you changed the batteries?
Where is the mouse charger base located relative to the keyboard? Even though it will work from across the room, if it is sitting right next to the monitor or speakers or other electronic devices, there may be some interference.
Does the plug for the keyboard fit securely?
Lastly, Logitech RMA service is pretty good, they will probably replace it if you send it back.

The MX-3000 cordless laser is a super nice keyboard.
Son got a set and I have taken a liking to the keyboard.
It has cushioned keys that have a very different feel, hard to describe but feels far better than the XM700.
Mouse has no charger, shuts off when not in use. Have yet to change batteries (we use rechargables anyway).

Thanks for the input. The charger is about 6 inches away from the base of the monitor. I'll try moving it further away and see if that helps.
Sometimes I think I'm the worlds worst speller but I know I press the keys but the letter does not show on the monitor. It could be a few things like not pressing hard enough. Other than this problem, the keyboard and the mouse are great.

Sam I use these and love them as I have 3 of them. Where you have the pc, there is no reason whatsoever to live with wireless anyway. Folks he sits monitor in front of keyboard and tower is 2 feet away and keyboard never moves, why put up with this....
I have 5 power keys I can choose and email browser etc are all already setup.

If security is a concern for you.
Here's an article that talks about wireless keyboards.

I have been in this computer field since 1961. It still amazes me what can be done with these things. To be honest, I don't think I would ever wonder about the Security aspect of a wireless keyboard and mouse.
