Is there any way to have the pc boot in "sequence" without you having to manually change the boot order? Meaning, let's say your boot order is

Hard Drive
cd
Floppy

is there any way to have the pc boot off the hard drive first and if it does not detect it then it tries the cd next and if not then it tries the floppy, all of this on it's own [automatically]?

That is, exactly, the purpose of the boot order.
It attempts to boot off each device in the sequence until it finds one it can boot off.

Strange stuff going on here then becuase it did not boot off the Recovery CD until I changed the boot order and even then it did not boot, I took out the HD out of the unit and only then did it boot off the cd.

BTW, in Setup I see a "quickboot" option, what is that?

when a bootable cd or dvd is detected, you should see a message to "press any key to boot from cd/dvd"...

I have found that my boot order, after being changed to recognize the CD first, does not remain fixed even though I have saved my changes. It is a minor inconvenience since I rarely boot off a CD and, when I do, I must F2 to reset the order.

Joe,
That makes no sense...how old is the cmos battery? Possibly also a bios needs flashing?
