Maybe I missed the answer to the following question in reading the information about this BBS but my question is:

When a user, like myself, post anything on this board and then later on in the day, display the New Post, the user's post does not show up in the New Post list. Is this the way it's suppose to be?

Thanks,
Sam

It would only show up in new Post if there were any answers to your post, Sam.

Sam

When you click on 'Submit New Thread' or 'Submit Reply' for a post, vBulletin returns your message as it appears in the thread. Since you are reading the message after it has been posted, it is no longer considered as a New Post for your logon. Your post will be in all other user's New Post lists.

This convention seems obvious to me now but I initially had the same question as you did. I then realized that WebBoard from another world considers your post as new to you until you mark it as read. I have become comfortable with the vBulletin approach.

Now that it has been explained, the replies to my original question make sense. I now understand why the message does no show as a new post.

Thank you.
