I just found out the antivirus I was running on my Beta
copy of Vista was a demo and it seems the time limit is running out. I was thinking of trying to run Windows Live one care in it's place and was wondering if anyone had heard anything of it's compatibility?

I know nothing about Live One care and would not bother personally. I used Avast which works and there was also a version of eTrust for Vista I used but I was never certain it was working frankly.

Rich isn't the eztrust version a beta? I think so. I got an invite to use it, but have never installed that one. I used Avast also.

I was using Avast when I got the message that my time was up and I would have to purchase it. I then installed the beta from CA. It seems to work okay and I'll keep an eye on it...

Larry Avast is free for a year but you need to register it so they can send you an email with a registration number to put in.

I'll have to check closer on that as I have been running it since I installed Vista. Maybe I didn't register and that's why it gave me a warning that my time was running out.

I can't say for sure but I believe the newest AVG 7.1405 will work with Vista without any updates. I just installed it without an problems except since I can't connect to the internet it was unable to update the definitions, But the install went without a hitch. If only I can get the internet connection working.
