As i am new here, i liked the idea of Paltalk.
I just found out we can delete our own posts, if missplaced or double posted.
This is a really needed function, so mods shouldn't worry about deleting wrong or missplaced or double posts.

Nice job done in here.

Chrysssi,
We have been doing the Paltalk Chatroom for almost 9 years now, long before this forum, it was a live tech support adjunct to another forum and it is a really enjoyable few hour "tune out" from daily life. We can talk computers and most of us learn and help others...the recent international flavor has made it extra fun adding another "level" to what we do.
And yes you can dlete mistakes, posts in total simply by starting with "edit". We had spell check on the older forum software, and hopefully will be able to get that back soon, it's our only real "gripe" these days as we are all used to it.

As most of us here came from a Philadelphia,PA area group, we have always been GMT -4 oriented.

This does cause some difficulty now that we have such an "international" membership.

The ROOM always exists, it just requires an Admin to open it. We generally only meet on Wed nights but have, on special occasion, opened it at other times.

If there is enough interest, we would seriously consider an Admin in another location/ time zone who would be interested in manning the fort during an appropriate time period "over there". Admin duties are not difficult and easily defined. Mostly opening/closing the room and bouncing any troublemakers.

So it's getting late night here, just maybe we can figure out if i post this.
Time here now it's 11.18 night time. After how many hours from this post did you connect with Paltalk?

I believe members from here could. I am 10 hours ahead from California.
But i don't have the same time difference with Alabama.

Well.. that still does not answer the question.
Would any of you be interested in hosting our "overseas" version at suitable hours in your time zones?

Do try and drop by our USA East Coast time regular chat and meet the "regulars" for some of our (ummm) stirring conversation! We do often get quite an international group with Lawrence of Australia and a few of our European regulars who drop in now and then.

Having the PT chatroom open does seem to be drawing members from all over the globe so it isn't a bad idea to have other sessions besides our regular one.

I am a kind of confused for the date of Paltalk. Here it's morning of 7th September. Since i am ahead, Paltalk meeting is going to be tonight right?

Rich,
as per that link in my post, it's -7 hours for USA Eastern time so 4 am, a little tough hour.

DBarrow,
It would be nice idea to host an overseas version, but as i can see most of the members in KH are from USA, so for a few persons that would attend would that be helpfull?
I mean people with good knowledge for computers would attend, so how many of the members here can attend in such different hours?
Can you make a poll and see the results?
1 day of weekend would be nice, for paltalk in Europe... just a thought.

As a prove of what am i saying, i am the only member logged in now due to time difference.lol

Let's say now here it's 7.11 pm 7th September(by the way, forum clock needs to be corrected in minutes) USA Eastern is for me 12.11 am
7th September, if i am correct. But again we need someone to check that index and confirm it.
So if Paltalk is today i need almost 9 hours to log in

ya missed us! our paltalk chat started 15 1/2 hours ago, and ended around 12 hours ago.
if you cant be there for our Paltalk chat, you can still chat with other KH members 24/7 if you use Firefox browser by downloading and installing the Yakalike chat plug-in.
