Boy was I surprised, A charge to download a Beta.

Sorry,this may not the right place for this.


I just downloaded Windows Vista RC1 and saw that they have an update for Office 2007 so it will work with Vista, so I go to download the new BETA and they want to charge me for the download. I mean its not the price that bugs me it the fact that I am downloading it to test and report problems.
I understand charging for the DVD but the download also? Maybe I should send Microsoft a bill for my time and testing skills.:D

Hmmm, I have Office 2007, Windows Longhorn Server (suppose to be the "Vista" server edition), and quite a few other applications.

You might want to "join" the Technet Plus group. You get the operating systems, applications, and patches all on DVD.

The NEAT thing is that for $500.00 a year you can load up to 10 systems with the operating systems - BUT that doesn't give you the license to put on your neighbor's systems.
