A strange thought ran through my head today when I took the dog out to play.
We humans think we are so smug with our email and IM.
Did you ever notice that dogs have had Pmail for eons?
What makes them so eager to "write" to each other or read each other's Pmail?
The messages left must be complex as you can observe by the head gestures and tail wagging as they read them.
How do they decrypt and read them with just their nose?
Some must be offensive judging by the snert and disgusted look and a quick "up yours" reply by overwriting it with a short squirt.
Why do all Pmails demand a reply and where do they get all that reserve? I couldn't pee that much if I had to.
Then there are the really offensive ones where they have to leave a reply by taking a dump on it. That must have been something to read!
Then there are the other ones that seem so interesting they just can't get away from it, like a good book, no matter how hard you try to drag them away. If given a choice, they will run right back to it and take up where they left off.
Some seem to be an offer for a hot date by the obvious interest level. You can almost feel their excitement.
Maybe someday, scientists will create a talking dog who can enlighten us about this Pmail secret they have been keeping.
At least we don't have to go fence post to fence post to read our mail!
Although, from some of the email I get, I wonder if dog is secretly using the computer at night...
