What are adv dissadv to Indexing Service

On HDD's? Is there an advantsage to using this? Thanks.

Indexing speeds up searches. Unless you do an awful lot of file searching, Index Service chews up a lot of CPU time.
It is usefull in a large newtork environment where you may need to search across many machines.
On a home machine or small local network, it proves little advantage.

I turn OFF Indexing Service in SERVICES and uncheck it in drive properties.
