TDK announced this week that it has developed the smallest in its class solid state NAND flash memory drive. The drive is roughly the size of a typical notebook hard drive but does not rely on mechanical rotating platters and read/write heads for operation. Hey I have not had a problem with any of my own drives dying since converting to sata 2 years ago. I have every original hard drive. I have had 2 Seagate drives go for clients is all, and one failed to work at all out of box.
