Smokey,
Now that we have much higher quanties of posts daily, New Posts
often results in 2 or 3 pages of topics posted at 25 posts per page.
If possible, I'd like to see an option for 50 or 100 posts per
page for New Posts.
Is that possible?
Anyone else feel the same?

Pete,
In the User Control Panel under Edit Options you can set up to 40 posts per page. Not the 100 but better than the 25.

Is there a way that when you click on new posts you could eleiminate certain forums?? I don't need to see, news, or humor.

The best way to view new posts in selected forums is to bypass the New Posts and go to the Forum Index. Open the forums that interest you and have an orange icon ( http://www.kickenhardware.net/forum/images/statusicon/forum_new.gif ) next to them. Threads with new posts will be on top. This method has a couple of more clicks but allows you to be selective in the topics that you read.

Al, I already have my preferences set to 40 posts per page but New Posts
is not affected by that setting. I'm pretty sure, I've been on other vBulletin
Forums where they have prefences to set the posts per page to greater
than 40. I'd like that here too. But that is different from the number of
post for New Posts.
The vBulletin software is very verastile, I'm just not sure if what
I'm asking for is possible. Only the administrator knows for sure.

Elliot your issue is off topic from my original post, but I totally agree
with you, we need a way to to FILTER OUT certain forums. :)
I doubt the current vBulletin software can do FILTERING, but I sure
wish the developers would add that feature in a future release.
I'd probably filter out the Humor and Politics Forums. It would be
nice to click New Posts and just see the forums I'm interested in.
Smokey, when there's a feature we ask for that is not
currently built into the vBulletin software, can you please
let us know that and also tell us how we can submit our ideas
to the developers?
Thanks

Pete,
Been off for a few days again. I don't use the 'new post' option so I'll have to play around on the poolforum where I have some privvys. The admin there is usually in hiding and has many higher priority issues than the poolforum so he relies on us to ride herd on it the best we can. If you're ambitious you can go to the VBull website and download the pdf manual for this version. vbulletin.com Personally I haven't found it too helpful.
