Subject: PC Mechanic Tip of the Day: Switch Desktops Quickly in Linux 13

If you utilize the Desktop Switcher applet in Linux, instead of using the mouse to select the desktop to view, try using the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + Alt + [Left or Right Arrow]. If you are in the middle of typing something and need to jump to your web browser, music library, or whatever, you can do so without taking your hands off the keyboard.

This keyboard combination should work no matter what distro or GUI (GNOME or KDE) you use.

Good Morning Lina, this key command doesn't appear to work in Puppy Linux or Kanotix, changing desktops by leaving the mouse cursor on the task or kicker bar window and moving the wheel, cycles between the desktops as needed.
This is much easier when your secretary does it while you are typing.
It does affect the blood circulation in your knees after a while.
Cheers, qldit.

Now that was not above my head! .... :)

We do appreciate your input on Linux, Lawrence, here and during
our Wednesday night Paltalk sessions. .... :sorry: you didn't make
our most recent one.

Ciao, Lina
