Hi, the idea here is report those programs that you have had difficulty in 'installing, using, or uninstall' so as to give the idea to members that this product is naturally faulty and therefore not to pull one hair out trying to mend the system. I will edit this post as other poster post below and then admin(sorry more work then) can edit off the posts after about ten posts.
The one that springs to my mind and the list I will put in alphabetical order:
Norton symantec

What a great idea! Thank you!

fleamailman, thanks, we have a Hardware and Software Reviews header which generally serves that purpose.
While not often used for a warning to stay away from a particular software, we sometimes do discuss problems of a particular program in detail. If you can do a truely objective review of some software, including any problems noted, it would belong there.

Doug, doing a search on this forum for that information is
not easy for newbies and the computer-challenged.
It would be helplful for the unsophisticated and vulnerable
user to be able to go directly to a continually updated
list of software which have potential problems.
For example:
I know that Nod32, Kaspersky, BitDefender
are the best AVs. Such a list could recommend ignoring
Nod32's IMON, AMON, etc, and caution that Nod32
can take a couple of days to send you a license key.
The list could mention Kaspersky's annoying start-up
scan and excessively long manual scan.
It could give us the latest caveats, if any, about
Ccleaner (Rich was once a fan of
Ccleaner but has abandoned it).
It's difficult to keep up with the latest recommendations.
Going to one place instead of doing a search would be a
God-send.
I've googled for software reviews, but there's nothing like
sharing the experiences of everyday users of the software.
You have a valid point, but you are a super-guru, my friend.
My perspective differs, and I know I ask toooo much!:)
Just my two cents.

Hi, I always agree with anything, I just pinch good idea off other forums and suggest them here. With this one admin(collective name for those who edit) hasn't much to do because it is just besically building a list from members personal feedback. Have a proviso like: "Attention, this is our members feedback from their personal experiences and does not nesserseraly reflect the views of those running this joint"
Norton Symantec, (removal can need uninstall program)
Scandisk usb keys, (some require extra power so they don't show up on laptops)
[The above is just an example then, sorry about the spelling.]
