Hi, another simple liked idea is to have a thread called ' tech news feeds', the current events in the tech world with a canned that goes:

Hi, if you feel that you have found an article that is interesting relating in to computers or the computer world, please share it by linking it here with a few words of explanation.

- to which an example of a reply would be:

I think we all know that Microsoft have been testing a whole range of programs that are server based, or installed from server. Those server based programs are what MS is calling 'Live', they are in effect their answer to google in the growing battle for new subscribers. Now MS has confirmed their intention toward this by the following:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/5370144.stm

The problem is that this is not offtopics, but should be somewhere on this site I believe, perhaps the offtopic could be split into tech related topics and offtopics then.

Hi, I am a dunce I have written all this only to notice your 'tech news' but at least it shows that I care. I am reposting now.

We have a rather active Tech News forum in our Specialized category. It that what you had in mind?

Thanks for the suggestions - we can always learn from other points of view.

Terry

Edit: simultaneous postings
