Win 98, IE6
In Internet Explorer, under Tools, Internet Options, temporary internet files, delete files, there is an option to delete offline content. Does that option delete the contents of the c:\Windows\Downloaded Program Files folder?
I ask because I inspected that folder and it has some Active X components from Microsoft, and files from the MS Messenger chat program, and Yahoo chat program, and other Active X programs, etc. If I enable the delete offline content option, will I delete some programs that my computer needs to operate?
Is it safe to enable the "delete offline content" option under Temporary Internet Files, Delete Files?
Thanks,
AL
