Ok, I saw how wonderfully everyone edited my 'help, I am a newbie' text into a real canned worth using.

same thing then, here is the text, how would you can it, thanks:


bleep codes
No Beeps = Short, No power, Bad CPU/MB, Loose Peripherals
One Beep = Everything is normal and Computer POSTed fine
Two Beeps = POST/CMOS Error
One Long Beep, = One Short Beep Motherboard Problem
One Long Beep, = Two Short Beeps Video Problem
One Long Beep, = Three Short Beeps Video Problem
Three Long Beeps = Keyboard Error
Repeated Long Beeps = Memory Error
Continuous Hi-Lo Beeps = CPU Overheating

[ok, first question: how do I change the thread's title as the title above only changes the actual pos't title but not the thread]

FMM - I believe that a moderator must do it - we can edit a thread - I changed the title for you - Terry

Ok, I have gone on the advanced, it says 'title', so I change it to read 'bleep codes, needs canning, I am useless' and yet it only changes the top of the post, how do I actually change the thread name then?

i believe only one of the mods can change that but i have been wrong before... on more than one occasion:D.. i will try on one of mine

No, I was just pulling mylanta's leg when he suggested that I change the title when I can't and yes, I would like to change it too now, remember I have only been on this board one week, so I might be guilty at times of using attention grabing ploys to help humanity, well I think I am one, human that is.
